MM6 MIDI DRIVER

Can the Yamaha MM6 be used as a midi file player? Athos - 11 July Has Little lites and the whole surface is illuminated. The improvement in quality when you do this is dramatic, so much that any casual listener can easily tell the difference. You cant name anything. Music can be used to stimulate mass emotion, while mathematics cannot; and musical incapacity is recognized no doubt rightly as mildly discreditable, whereas most people are so frightened of the name of mathematics that they are ready, quite unaffectedly, to exaggerate their own mathematical stupidity. One question as I was about to buy a midi controller I paused and wondered if a yamaha mm6 would work as one?

I absolutely hate the chunky design of those keyboards. In my experience, midi songs that you purchase or download will require significant editing in order to make them play correctly, and even more editing to make them sound good. I mean, using a different yamaha or other synth, can I avoid this mm66

Indeed, feel free to suggest alternatives to the MM6 even if it can do that. No panning is a big deal.

Anyone who knows about this? I also use powered speakers to get much better sound than what the internal speakers can do.

Still waiting for my yummy, Yamaha MO 6 to arrive. There is no "mixer" view at all.

There's a lot less work if you start with XG midi files that you buy from Yamaha directly. Athos - 11 July Yamaha mid a software program that will automatically process midi songs and let you change the instruments to use Mega Voices.

The MM6 is quite limited for external use, but excels at what it was designed for!

Hi all Im putting together a pro tools studio long after waitng and recording on my Tascam Is it possible to do the following: I think all of these arrangers allow nidi to individual mute and edit tracks directly, however I prefer to do it in Cubase. We will try one last time.

MM6 MIDI frustrations -

Having 8 tracks in the center is going to be muddy. The little MM6 is a fantastic machine for playing live, or even hooking up to another Keyboard or sound module You can to an extent. There are enough infos for any other user.

Say you want to call up the Power Grand piano sound on the MM6. However, I find the manual very very limited when it comes to explaining the MIDI functions of the synth. I guess this sounds pretty self-explanatory, but it took me half an afternoon to figure it out.

What keyboards would be a better option then? Midi files also have a wide range of quality for the arrangements, so there's a lot of room for improving them. All times are GMT This is the only way to drive both the instruments, and this is not possible.
